Rick May

Rick has been doing tours for almost 20 years at the Farnsworth House (and he still don't know everything that goes on). He has been retired from full-time work for over 10 years. He worked in a machine shop for almost 16 years and worked in the insurance business (doing claims) for 26 years. He has previously done some amateur theater years ago. He likes to entertain and to teach. He likes to work with his hands. He also likes to see things run smoothly. Rick is a wonderful storyteller!

Cheryl

Cheryl graduated from Towson State University with a B.S. in American History. She was involved in amateur theater - acting in supporting roles and helping apply make-up for some of the cast members. She worked in the medical insurance industry until she retired. She went back to Carroll Community College where she got a certificate in Medical Records Coding, and she ended up at Boscov's making fudge. She has been working at the Farnsworth House for over 10 years. She enjoys meeting the guests on her tours and giving a tour that will make them want to come back to our house. Besides travelling throughout the United States, she has travelled to Europe and Africa. Cheryl is a fantastic storyteller!

Rick A.

Rick is originally from Maryland. He is a history buff, fantasy football fanatic, and pinball wizard.

Rick (sometimes fondly called "Gandalf" by his fellow guides), he is very interactive with storytelling! Come and have a great time on one of his tours!

Jen

Jen is a preschool director by day, ghost storyteller and guide by night, and a full-time nap enthusiast whenever the universe allows. She's raising three kids, wrangling two dogs and two cats, and somehow still finds time to binge scary movies and contemplate life"s deeper regrets (usually while folding laundry). Her superpower? Turning Chaos into Compassion for the low-income families she serves with grit and grace.
When not working or parenting, Jen enjoys the sacred art of horizontal meditation (aka napping), overthinking dinner options, and watching horror films with the lights off, because why not flirt with danger? She may claim to be boring, but her life is a masterclass in multitasking, resilience, and the fine art of storytelling.

"Doc"

Only known as "Doc" Weitzel (honestly because we forgot his name)

She has been dazzling guests on the tours for close to a decade with her knowledge of the town and battle of Gettysburg. Her vast knowledge of the American Civil War comes from her thirst for everything History!
When not in her beautiful hats and hoop skirts or performing surgery as a civil war nurse she can be found traveling all over meeting people and searching for the unknown. She has been as far as California and as deep south as Louisiana! She quests to find cryptids such as Bigfoot, Dog Man, the Jersey Devil, UFO, and even the Squonk. Her strange paranormal abilities of seeing and speaking with the dead were given to her at birth. She will tell you, if you ask, she is NOT a medium, she is a large! She only seeks the truth of the supernatural and loves sharing with each of her guests. She also tells everyone she meets, even though she lives in Punxsutawney, PA, her favorite house on earth is the Historic Farnsworth House Inn.
