Step into History at the Farnsworth House

Embark on a guided tour of the Historic Farnsworth House, proudly listed on the National Register of Historic Places by the U.S. Department of the Interior. This storied home offers a rare glimpse into the past, where every floorboard and bullet hole whispers tales from the Battle of Gettysburg.

Ascend to the Garret (attic) where a Confederate sharpshooter is believed to have fired the fatal shot that claimed the life of Jennie Wade, the only civilian killed during the battle. Then, explore curated displays of authentic Civil War relics, each artifact a silent witness to the chaos and courage of 1863.

Descend into the cellar, transformed into a hauntingly beautiful Victorian Viewing Parlor. Here you’ll find an antique coffin, period photographs, church pews, and evocative furnishings that reflect the mourning customs of the era.

Outside, examine over 100 bullet holes still etched into the brick façade, a chilling testament to the house’s frontline role in the conflict. Throughout your visit, you’ll uncover the rich and layered history of the Farnsworth House, from its original builder to its present-day stewards.

While others may offer a “Farnsworth House” tour, we proudly present the only authentic Farnsworth House experiences, and the only tours with access inside the Historic Inn itself. Why settle for secondhand stories told from the sidewalk when you can step inside and experience the #4 Best Haunted Hotel according to USA Today?

Two Legendary Locations. One Unforgettable Night.

The Garret (Attic)

Ascend into the eerie attic where it’s believed the fatal bullet that took Jennie Wade, the only civilian killed during the battle, was fired. See the infamous “sharpshooter’s nest” and examine authentic Civil War relics that whisper stories of the past.

The Haunted Cellar

Descend into the stone-walled cellar featured on the Travel Channel’s Kindred Spirits. Gaze into the mirror that stirred paranormal investigators.
